  A Parents Worst NIGHTMARE!

The coroner has just left my home with terrible news, my son Bryan was killed this morning in an auto accident in Azusa.

My children and I are numb, not sure what emotion too feel at this moment. I am suppose to die before my children, not Bryan before me.

We will miss Bryan very much and his memory will be with us forever.

no, no, no....
I will call.
Let me know how I can help.

My prayers, love and support go out to you at this terrible time in your life. Losing a child is not something we, as parents, are prepared to deal with.

There are no words to express the sorrow I'm feeling for you now, so I will remind you that I'm here to help you as always.

Love and God bless Bryan and the entire Padgett family.

Update:

Ed's brothers are coming over. One is an attorney, the other is a former funeral director.

Jesse is taking care of the "time off' for Ed.

Apparently Ed called the secretary and she said she couldn't okay ANY time off for him and that he'd have to call his supervisor.

Ed's in no state of mind to be making a zillion calls. He told her to do it for him. She started SCREAMING at him.

What a wretched creature. Totally lacking in empathy.

She must wake up every morning thinking about how the world has cheated her and unleashes it on everyone.

She needs to apologize then go to church and lighten up.

And an apology sounds like this:
"I'm sorry I yelled at you Edward. I will try my hardest to change my outlook in life."

Edward,

I can't begin to imagine your pain at this time and am praying that God will see you and family through this episode. Know that I am here for you to help in any way I possibly can.

You're very important to me, so I feel a lot of concern for what you're going through right now.

I hope it helps to know how much I believe in you and how often I send positive, caring thoughts your way.

My sincere condolences to you and your family for your loss.

Nubia

BTW...I'll keep my comments about the secretary to myself.

They couldn't be posted anyway!!!

When a Brother or Sister suffer a loss, we all feel the pain. We are all deeply sadden by this terrible event and share your sorrow.

My faith tells me that when we close our eyes here on earth they re-open in heaven.

Don't hesitate to let me know if there is anything your Brothers and Sisters can do, and it will be done.

God bless you and your family during this difficult time Ed.

I've waited all day to respond, but have found no enlightened words of condolence. I am so very, very sorry. It's so inadequate, but it's all I can offer. Your strength is an inspiration, but what is that worth now? All I can do is weep for your loss.

Ed,

My heart goes out to you and your family.

I'm here for you if you ever need an ear.

I know you are dealing with a lot right now, but don't forget to take care of yourself in the midst of all this.

I will send you a private note shortly.

Hey friend, I am so moved. Ed, I never knew your son, But I feel a connection and I must say im sorry for your loss. It's faith that will sustain us and rest easy knowing your boy is in good hands with the lord our sheapard. He is very much alive and in eternity.

I saw this post some time ago. I was deeply saddened and sat at my keyboard trying to draw out some comforting words. I was afraid to say the wrong thing, and because I do not know you personally, did not know if I should. My heart goes out to you Ed. From experience loosing family members, I can only tell you that my sorrow is sincere, and I wish you the best.

I want to express my deepest sorrow for your loss. I just came across the news story today 6-6-2008. My name is Ed Padgett. I live in Oklahoma. I also lost my son Bryan (spelled the same) in the same month as your loss. Year 1993 in a car accident just as your son. My greiving lasted for many years. I still have tough times on occasion as we were very close. He was 17 at the time. I will tell you this. People say that time heals. I have discovered as time passes the original intensity of the pain lessons but the pain never goes away. you may contact me if you need. go to www.padgettmachine.com for a link
